I don’t plan to stay in this hotel again. It wasn’t terrible, but considering I paid more than other hotels in the area, I would have expected a better experience. The property seems dated, but you’d expect it to be since this hotel has been there for decades. We got the suite that had a jacuzzi in the room, which I thought would be on the top floor, but it was right on the bottom floor with people walking by the windows and right beside the parking entrance, so you’d hear loud people and loud cars late into the night. The television setup is using an Android media player that frequently had issues, so trying to watch regular television was pretty frustrating because the image would stutter or the signal would freeze after a few minutes of watching, so don’t plan on watching TV here. On the good side— the complimentary breakfast is good, it’s a full breakfast, which is so rare these days.

Hôtel très bien situé, à 10 minutes de marche du centre. Chambre munie d’un micro-onde et d’un grand frigo qui fut apprécié. Nous avions une chambre en arrière de l’édifice munie d’un balcon. Donc, très tranquille. Lit, literie et salle de bain bien convenable. Garage intérieur très apprécié car nous y étions en hiver. Ne possède pas de place commune comme place de repos ou de jasette. La piscine intérieure est très petite et l’eau était embrouillée. La nourriture pour le déjeuner est variée. Cependant la salle à déjeuner est très petite, poubelles près du déjeuner en générale pleine, donc, pas possible de bien récupérer. Le staff, de la salle du petit-déjeuner, travaille fort pour offrir un bon service. Nous avons observer une terrasse disponible en été. Clientèle très familiale.

I recently stayed at Best Western Plus in Banff, and unfortunately, my experience in Room 102 was disappointing. The room is located uncomfortably close to a service room, and I could hear a loud humming sound throughout the night. The noise was constant, and to make matters worse, it seemed amplified when my ear was on the pillow, making it impossible to get any sleep. It felt as though the vibrations were resonating through the pillows themselves. The noise was so unbearable that I ended up spending the entire night sitting in the lobby chair because I simply couldn’t stay in the room. When I informed the front desk agent, their only response was to tell me to wait until the manager arrived at 7 a.m. This lack of immediate assistance was incredibly frustrating, as it left me feeling helpless and unsupported during an already uncomfortable situation. While the hotel staff was otherwise friendly and the location and amenities were decent, the poor handling of this issue and the sleepless night completely overshadowed any positives. A good night’s rest is essential, especially in a place like Banff where you want to feel refreshed for outdoor activities. I strongly recommend avoiding Room 102 unless the hotel has resolved the noise issue. I also hope the management takes steps to better train staff on how to handle guest concerns during off-hours. A small amount of effort to accommodate a guest in distress could have gone a long way.

Property could be improved a bit if the hotel had a bit more maintenance e.g. picture in pool area could be replaced and A few other areas. That being said hotel was reasonably priced and included breakfast which is a huge bonus. Hotel rooms also have patios which are great. Parking may be a problem as I believe there are less spots than guests. Otherwise good location, free parking and breakfast I would recommend.
