The gentleman at the front desk when checking in did not greet us. He sarcastically stated when asked if we had a view he stated “you have no view” like he took pleasure. Did I say no one offered to carry our luggage to the room. My mom is in her 70’s. Floor was dirty. We walked barefoot and out feet were black. We asked for a bottle of water for our trolley trip and the guy said “ we are out, if you need water that bad you can purchase in Morrisons. I felt like a second class citizen. I stayed there last year but this year was worse w staff.

The first night there was absolutely terrible. Corner room that had one side to an alley the balcony was dirty from construction machinery which woke us up the next morning with dump trucks backing right under the balcony. No phone in the room and after driving 6 hours to be that disappointed in the room but a damper on the trip. Complained to management and they agreed to move our room. Much better accommodations after that Other than the room they gave us didn’t have coffee in it for the next morning.

Holy cow staff is so disrespectful & rude, specially girl at front desk , don’t ask her any questions or she’ll snap at you. Elevators so unsafe , kept getting stuck and taking us passed the 1st floor to the basement. Very dirty, rooms were sub par. I’d never ever stay there again not even for free!

This is a beautiful place to stay. Everything is clean and the recent renovations are beautiful. We stayed here 12 years ago when it was under Waldorf Astoria. I will say the service is not the same level. Mixed drinks at pool were subpar, though the bar in the lobby offered delicious specialty cocktails. I left an item behind and called within 15 minutes of checking out. It’s a ridiculous process to go through (for a swim suit). Form to file, only contact through email… I was leaving in two days (staying elsewhere) and still have not heard if they found it. This is where the customer gets lost in the protocols and red tape, unfortunately. Having said that.. it has a great beach, pool, and is in a quiet area. I would stay again.

This place definitely looks better in the pictures. For what you’re paying for per night it’s definitely not worth it. The building is beautiful, but they need to do a little more upkeep. It looks like they need to walk around with a magic eraser and remove all the scuffs around the building. The room service situation was a mess. They wouldn’t answer the phone and we didn’t know if our food was even coming and then wouldn’t finally did they didn’t give us silverware, twice. It’s nice to be on the beach, but I was appalled that when I went out one morning, it was literally covered in trash. I spent about 20 minutes just picking up plastic bottles and fishing nets and pieces of plastic. The hotel needs to do better. I know a lot of the stuff is coming off of boats, but they should have a staff member coming out in the morning to clean up the garbage not only for hotel guests but for the sake of the ocean that it’s on. There was plenty of staff standing around doing nothing so I’m sure they have figured it out. If this is your first time coming to Key West, I highly recommend staying in one of the cute little bed-and-breakfasts near Duval Street. They are adorable and in walking distance to everything which is really nice when you’re down there!

The hotel was clean but it is a little outdated and needed some repairs. They were working on some construction while we were there. It was considered the "off season" so not all things were staffed. Breakfast was limited and the rooms were not always serviced. It is on the quieter end of town so if you are looking for activities on Duval street you will need to walk a ways (about a mile one way), rent a golf cart or car to get places.

We loved this place. We would have liked if it had a laundry for guests. But other than that, this place is beautiful and the drinks are delicious and the pools are nice and specially the private beach area. Would definitely be back again.
