We always enjoy our stay at the Fairmount. It is a classy hotel that has lots to enjoy and a great place to just relax and enjoy the ambiance. We also love the proximity to shopping and walks along the Burrard inlet. We will always keep this hotel on by our list for the next visit to Vancouver.

Location and staff service all excellent. However, building is old and heating system is antiquated and inadequate. When it gets cold, certain parts of the building does not get enough heat. My room (874) was at the outer end of the building so did not receive enough heat and the hotel does not have enough portable heaters for guests.

There are concierge Labradors! All things are better with dogs. The hotel is typical of the fairmont, classy, clean, not modern. Located in the heart of upscale shopping, and walkable to many things.
