We enjoyed the heritage architecture and decor however, the bathrooms are small ( based on the age of the building) and may need updating.Also the gym was closed for some reason. The hotels decor was festive over the holiday season and we had a corner room with a view of the Christmas tree in the square below which we as nice. Not our first stay. The parking is always annoying unless you get a valet

Skip it, try the Wedgewood instead.
Certainly not as nice as other Fairmont hotels we’ve stayed in. Cheaper quality robes, thin towels, rough sheets, etc. Pool/fitness centre was under construction, with moss growing up the walls inside the pool area. No hot tub but they do have what is now a mini putt area? With no balls and no clubs? Very bizarre. Room service was extraordinarily slow. We waited over an hour for cutlery to be brought to our room. We were given drink vouchers specifically to use at Kringle’s (holiday themed pop-up bar) only to discover that it was closed the entirety of our stay. Tried to have a quick drink at Notch 8 on our way out. Server never came to our table (only table in the lounge!) Had to flag down a manager for service after 20+ minutes. Overall, a deeply lacklustre experience. Won’t be back and certainly would not recommend.

Beautiful hotel but the room we stayed in was not the room that we booked. Felt very dark (lack of windows) and like we were in a basement. Quality of room etc was amazing though.

The valet parking was impossible to find in the rain (It's in an alley) on a Friday afternoon. The front desk staff was terrible and it took over 30 minutes to check in. The TV in room didn't work and it took a repairman three separate visits to fix. I ordered in room dinner at 7 PM and it arrived at 8:40 PM. Let's face it, the Fairmont is a cheap five star chain as it is - their rooms are small, the buildings old; the only reason they are supposed to be five stars is the staff... They should downgrade this hotel to four stars.

My husband and I left this morning after staying for the first leg of our honeymoon and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. They went above and beyond every single step of the way, they even dropped off little Christmas presents with chocolate for guests! It was adorable. The staff was extremely polite. They upgraded our room & had champagne waiting at arrival. The cocktails at the bar were fabulous. City is very walkable & shopping just around the corner. 12/10 experience.

Property was maintained well but just felt old and the amenities for the high price just weren’t worth it for us. Pretty but I’m sure there are other properties with better pools, restaurants that are more open and modern to our liking. I’m sure this is great for some but the rooms were just okay.
