We had such an incredible stay at Ocean El Faro. We had a swim up suite so every day just had beautiful views and was so convenient. In addition we had a butler named Jose, he was so attentive and made sure my husband and myself were taken care of. He booked all reservations for us, made sure our room was stocked, and took care of any special requests. We could not say enough how great he was, would recommend requesting him personally if possible. Where we were located we took advantage of the Pool Bar by the lazy river. Omar and Danny saw us coming and would have our drink order ready for us, they were excellent. It’s also close to the beach entrance, which we enjoyed some evening walks on. Our favorite restaurant at the resort was Dolce Vita, it is one that requires a reservation. Our server Luis was also a favorite, his recommendations made for an even better evening. The resort is large, but they make sure it is so convenient with multiple pools, restaurants, and a trolley you can catch to help you get around. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Ocean El Faro and would love to visit again.

I stayed at Ocean El Faro this February for 10 days for a birthday trip. From the moment I got there, I was very impressed. I signed up for their “Privilege” experience, which gave me access to exclusive restaurants, pools, and other services in addition to the all-inclusive benefits that the resort offered. I want to highlight our personal concierge, José, who went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. He acted immediately when we had a request and decorated our suite for my birthday! He really helped to take away the stress that comes with traveling and planning. Overall, from the location, the beach access, the suite, the amenities, and the resort staff, it was a great experience. This is a great place to celebrate special moments with your loved ones!

We loved our trip. Jose was great and helped with everything we needed during our trip. The only complaint I have is how pushed and pressured we were to buy a timeshare/membership. It was over the top for the amount of money we paid to be there. Everyone is jumping at a potential sale and you lose over an hour of your time during their sales pitch. I also will add, if you are booking through Expedia, no shuttle is provided for you, that is left up to you and that experience was a bit scary and costly. Overall, it was a great, relaxing time but I do not think we will be back.

My family and I absolutely loved Ocean El Faro Resort—it was perfect for both the adults and the kids. The hospitality was outstanding! The room was very musty smelling. The service in buffet was not that good. Had to wait a long time for coffee. I would like to see more coffee places in your resort. The theatre was great.Overall the resort is beautiful, loved the lazy river. I have recommended this resort to a friend who will be there soon.

We were lucky to have booked a Privilege Swim up Suite. To our surprise, we were not aware that it was going to be so large and spacious with a full separate living room with a large patio. The accommodations were perfect and probably the best I have ever experienced. Now let’s talk about the staff. As a seasoned traveler, I can tell you that all the staff was extremely polite and willing to help and answer any question we had. First, our Butler extraordinaire….José Jiménez. What an amazing person. He communicated with us at all times during our stay. He without a doubt enjoys his work in this industry. We barely had to ask for anything since he anticipated all of our questions and needs during our stay. He ensured that we received the best service everywhere we were at all times during our week there….even on his day off. Our Cabana attendant Juan. He was another that you can truly tell that he likes what he does. We never needed to check of our cabana was setup or if we needed anything. He was always there to make sure we were taken care of. Juan made sure we were comfortable everyday that we had that cabana. As for the swim bar…our second home for the week, Jhon and his team were AMAZING. He never forgot what we wanted and also remembered our name. A great bartender can make or brake a trip. I can tell you Jhon is the best. What service we got ALL DAY. Ocean El Faro is on our list to return again next year because of all those gentlemen that took such great care of us.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic, and a huge part of that was thanks to Jose Miguel. No matter what we needed, he was always there to help, making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. His kindness and professionalism truly stood out! Beyond the excellent service, the resort itself was beautiful—stunning beaches, great food, and plenty of activities to enjoy. The staff were always friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful property, great entertainment in the lobby but other than the 'concierge' & barpersons, the employees were unenthusiastic. The overly aggressive vendors were bullying guests. I notified them in advance that I was celebrating a birthday & my 25th wedding anniversary.. nothing was some done for me so I gave up & just made the best of it.
