Didn't feel it's 4 stars hotel.
We didn't have a good or comfortable experience during our stay. The hotel is rated 4 stars, however, based on the price and the room we stayed, it didn't feel the value. There is a sign noting the floor we stay is quiet zone but the sound proof system is not good. We can hear every single noise and chat on the hallway through our room. The room felt a bit outdated, paint came off here there, the cabinet door knobs were broken, it's pretty dusty. The bathroom shower system didn't work well the 1st night, the shampoo bottle was empty. 2nd night, no toilet paper were refilled. No any hooks on the wall in the entire room and only 1 in the bathroom. They also only provided the packet coffee without any creamers as this is 4 stars hotel. When we returned to the room 2nd evening, there was a really bad smell on the hallway which carried into our room for several hours.

The Broadview is a pleasant alternative to standard, hotel fare: the rooms have a bit of individualization in decor, there are record players, a vinyl library, and a great, rooftop patio. Parking is convenient, with Green P right across the street and some hotel parking behind the building. The concierge was helpful and the texts prior to checkin were also handy. Unfortunately it was very difficult to get ahold of room service and I had to trek upstairs to grab my own cocktail, only to find out that I couldn’t carry it back to my room. The staff at the rooftop bar escorted me downstairs, with my drink on a tray-room service-style-which was helpful, but awkward. This was the only issue:) no biggie, but something for the service team to note. Make sure to inform patrons of the most efficient way to get room service, if nobody is answering the phone.

Love the vintage look and feel
This hotel was beautiful. I loved the vintage feel of the whole place. The rooftop bar was pretty but the drinks prices were ridiculous. Drink wasn’t that great either. I would stay again but go to the taco place down the street cause your restaurant wasn’t even open.

Great stay. Room was clean, staff was helpful and kind, location is great. Just a couple of changes I noted on this stay that were different from before- I opted for late check out for a fee when I checked in and it was never documented. I confirmed this a Second time and it was not documented, which lead to a bit of confusion with staff in the morning. Also, previously the mini bar options had been plentiful and this time around it was slim pickings. Overall not big issues, just little things to note. The staff was still great, room clean, bed comfy, rooftop beautiful :)

Weekend Newlywed Getaway
Amazing historic hotel. While our in room record player didn’t work, everything else was spectacular. Loved the rooftop restaurant and the free bottle of wine. I will say this, the terrace view rooms are a bit of a waste, because there isn’t a view of anything other than a brick wall.

Rooftop bar closed early both nights and staff rushed us out the door at 1030 even though we were hotel guests. For $500 a night, I should be able to get a late checkout without having to pay $30 for 30 mins extension on the 11 am checkout. For the same money, I’ll stay at the W where the restaurant/bar is better, rooms are quiet and streetcar isn’t grinding away outside my room all night

I thought the hotel was adequate overall. The pluses are the rooftop bar and restaurant, although it was a bit pricey. The location was fine for our purpose but next time we will likely stay more downtown closer to more sites, restaurants, etc. Dislikes, i thought the room rates were on the higher side, housekeeping was at best adequate but inconsistent. The staff were all pleasant.
