Everything was great but felt a little misled when checking in as were encouraged by staff to upgrade. We were tired from a long drive so did it but not really sure why we were encouraged to do so - other than my husband maybe misunderstood being told we had to use outdoor stairs to get to our room and the other room we could get would be better. Fully our decision but it was a first time for being unsolicitedly upsold on what was supposed to be a better room.

The hotel is on a busy street so off loading luggage is problematic. The parking lot for the hotel is a small public 2 storey lot that was full the 2 times we tried to park. At 9:00 we tried again and luckily got the last spot so we could leave the car safely overnight and finally check in. It was stressful at best.

Loved my short staycation here! The room was so stylish - everything was fresh and looked new (I stayed in the new wing). Really nice bathroom. Ability to cast to the tv was very appreciated. The complementary popcorn was lovely but (my only small negative) a coffee machine would be welcome. Absolutely recommend the drake (especially if you’re looking for a place to stay in the west end)!

The man in the reception was really welcoming and kind person. Restaurant that we had dinner was good and perfect food. Clean and nice atmosphere. In total was best experience in Toronto. Definitely I go back there.

not good at all
I would never stay at this hotel again and I don't recommend it. The room was very small and didn't even have a cabinet for clothes. The bathroom lacked basic amenities like a stand for toothbrushes or other products. After 2 AM, the door locks and your key card won't work, requiring you to contact someone to let you in, which is highly inconvenient. While the staff is nice, the hotel is overpriced at $500 a night given that it lacks standard facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, and parking. It's a joke for the price.

Great hotel in a lovely Toronto neighbourhood!
We had an amazing stay at The Drake! Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was something special, not your typical hotel room at all. Lots of thoughtful touches like water and a free snack and labels on all the switches to make it easy to use.

I travel extensively around the world in great hotels. I didn’t like the messy aesthetic of the property at all. Not sure what the hype about this property is. No parking. No coffee maker in room. Noisy fan and AC that is impossible to regulate. Very confusing. No shower pressure. Breakfast was good. Coffees however were cold. Won’t be back. Sorry
