The property far exceeded some of the reviews I read. My room was updated and extremely comfortable. Every member of the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, was accommodating. I will definitely stay at this property again when I return to Vancouver!

One front desk staff seems doesn’t even communicate well in English, repeat over 15 times for her to spell my name and when I ask other questions she is unclear about the information so I have to ask multiple times my self to check. Night shift staff laying on the chair and not very welcoming when I ask questions. And also for the price , they don’t even have free toothbrushes. The air conditioner doesn’t work well, there was ice coming out if I put it on for a day. Won’t be there again. High price but very mid experience compared to Hilton and Hyatt.

We stayed 5 nights in the hostel. House keeping deal and saving water for unused towels were new to us and they were smart ideas. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Steam sauna wasn’t working during our stay, it was unfortunate for us.

The location is excellent - and the suite perfect for a family. It was very nice to be able to prepare breakfast in the morning especially! The stove wasn’t all working, but the cooking facilities were adequate. We enjoyed using the pool and the fitness centre, and appreciated storing our luggage on our final day before leaving. Great view!

Every staff member we ran into was incredibly friendly. The hotel itself is very quiet. There is a hospital next door so you could often hear emergency vehicles on the street but that is part of being in a city. The room was very comfortable and clean. One day it was raining and our maid made sure that went and borrowed an umbrella from the front desk.

Very outdated property in urgent need for full renovation. Old, probably over 30 years old windows. One of them wont even close. Batteries in safe were gone. Very poor value for $$$. Located next to the major hospital, emergency vehicles in and out 24 hours. Most staff in the bar and restaurant provided amazing service. Front desk manager Sam very unhelpful and ignorant, virtually turned his back on us while we were dealing with the issue. The worst experiences we ever had and we travel 3 times per year on average. Untill the changes are made, I would stay away from this hotel.

Loved the view from the 28th floor, simply breathtaking sunset. Got upgraded to higher floor when I requested a free upgrade for my birthday being to that day. We had our 2 teenagers with us and the room didn't have a pullout bed. We made do because the view was amazing.

Facilities were excellent and the room upgrade a wonderful surprise. Loved the Beyond Coffee cafe. Accessibility to transportation was also excellent, but the location itself inhibited walkability to some degree since the area did have a significant number of panhandlers. Also being on such a main thoroughfare as Burrard, even being on the 16th floor there was a lot of street noise even all night, particularly due to ambulance runs.
