Everything was very clean, bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and polite. It was dark when we arrived and dark when we checked out as we stayed so we could catch our early flight for our trip, so i cannot say what the area looked like

My room was full of fruit flies. At least 30. And you could see remnants of splattered flies on lampshades and walls from previous guests. The light bulbs in the lamps in my room made loud clicking noises for at least 30 minutes after turning them off at night..i guess they were cooling down? No toilet paper holder, and one half roll of toilet paper left from previous guest. Only positive was that the other guests were quiet and i slept well.

Good price and it was remarkably quiet . Some of the little things were annoying (Rm 36) ---sink plug was permanently down. ---no plug for the bath tub -- but I stuffed a hand towel in and that worked --- clock was the wrong time and wouldn't adjust ---- couldn't figure out how to work the lamp beside the bed --- no garbage pail in the room

Family owned and very friendly owners. The toilet flush was very and sometimes didn't work. The TV was blurry and only basic cable. Otherwise, it was a nice clean place..

Basic hotel as advertised. Room was very clean. Duvet cover was torn and there was ground coffee and cups available, but no in-room coffee machine. Shower toiletries were shampoo and soap only (no conditioner) and a non slip tub mat was provided. Continental Breakfast was on a counter in the small front office. Both days breakfast included muffins, cereal, apples (plus bananas one day), yogurt, coffee and tea. Outdoor seating was nice. No indoor seating other than the actual rooms. No elevator to the second floor, although most rooms are ground level. Restaurants, coffee shops etc are not really walkable. Distance isn't too far, but major road out front is not very pedestrian friendly. Front desk staff were flustered when we arrived as the payment machine was down. However, they moved around several (future, not yet checked in) guests to find a ground floor room for an older couple who were unable to carry their luggage up the stairs to the second floor.

Nice place. But my door knob was practically falling off. And One day there were 3 police cars at the motel, not sure what for? They rooms could us a little maintenance. But I’ve stayed at worse places.

It's easy to see why this 3rd generation family owned business still does well in the current "big business" world of today. Co-Owner Ainsley and her Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms are clean and neat with nice touches like soap and shampoo dispensers and hair dryers, and the light breakfast is cereal, yogurt, muffins, fresh fruit and orange juice as well as the "coffee and a doughnut" offered at some of the other small motels I have stayed at. Combined with competitive rates, I would certainly stay here again and and have no problem recommending it to others. Greg S. Surrey BC
