This wonderful boutique hotel was the perfect way to spend time in Powell River. The hotel keeper met us after hours with a friendly smile and took time to show us all about our room. The room itself was clean and perfect for what we needed. The breakfast was delicious. We will be returning back and recommending to anyone exploring the area

Great Boutique Hotel. Rooms are interesting and not cookie cutter. Loved that the TV was separate from the bed area. Would stay again and would recommend to others.

The history of the building and area is interesting but the amenities were quite limited and noise level (screaming in the middle of the night…no not ghosts!) made for a very difficult night’s sleep. The free delicious breakfast was a bonus.

This historical, tudor-style building had eight well appointed rooms. We stayed in the Jurors' Room which was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The photos, mementos and relics in the hallways were amazing....just like being in a museum! The entire experience was very laid back. It was the housekeeper who checked us in (in fact, we didn't see anyone at registration upon arriving nor leaving) and this was just fine as nothing was lacking, except perhaps for a kleenex box in the room. The beds and linens were super comfortable. The hot water in the shower took a long time to arrive but there was a much appreciated note about this (it is an old building) and once it arrived, it was hot and plentiful! The free hot breakfast made to order in the restaurant was excellent and we absolutely loved the photos and story of Edie Rae. We will definitely return to this gem.

After comparing all the options I think The Old Courthouse Inn is the best play to stay in Powell River. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was way more than expected.. you basically get to choose anything off of a full menu. Highly recommended.

The Old Courthouse and the whole Townsite area are somewhat frozen in time and you definitely get that feeling staying here. If you like that vibe, you'll love the place. If not, maybe not. The room was comfortable and the WifI worked great, which was a big plus, since we had stayed in some remote places that had bad Wifi. We missed the breakfast, but heard it's great.
