This is the first time I have ever reviewed a hotel stay. The hotel I stay at have been perfectly fine, but I never felt they warranted a review. Until now. This hotel was exceptional. From the comfortable beds. Excellent air condition. Ease of parking and amazing staff. But what prompted this review was the shower. Not just any shower, but a RAIN shower and the softest, fluffiest towels I have ever had. It’s a must stay when in the Hamilton area.

Lobby is nice and open, room was set to a comfortable temperature on arrival, plenty of storage space for luggage. Black out curtains were fantastic. Water pressure in the shower/deep soak tub was great. The only negative thing I can think of is that the tile can be a bit slippery with anything other than cotton socks. Very clean in all regards, it is evident the staff here take pride in the service they provide. Would book again

The room was excellent, the bed extremely comfortable and the shower, amazing. But when I returned from the event I was attending (with no food or drink) I was disappointed to find that at 10pm I could not get a drink - the restaurant closed at 9pm. Also, for the breakfast, i ordered the fruit bowl, which i did not like because of a large sprig of grapes (i never eat), and the strange and unhealthy mixture of rasperries (good), melon and orange slices.

This property is old but has been very well updated. The pool, sauna and hot tub were very clean and spacious with lots of room. We greatly enjoyed the pool hot tub and sauna. It has fairly easy access to the highway, and is in a good part of town part way between down town and westdale. Not right in the middle of either, but a short drive or cab ride to great places in Hamilton. The only thing I would have changed is that hallways are very dimly lit for ambiance. I would really prefer better lighting in the hallways.
