We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff are incredibly nice and welcoming. The hotel amenities are great, including a pool, hot tub, sauna, and nice common areas for relaxing. The rooms are a little dated and could use an upgrade, but that didn't detract from our stay overall.

Service great, BUT condition of room disappointing
Staff were great and check-in/out went smoothly. Only complaint was that there was some drywall damage behind the towel rack in our bathroom and we were afraid to hang our towels on it. We reported it to the front desk, but can't help being disappointed that the condition of the room didn't match our expectations (i.e. loose towel rack that was hanging off the wall).

The Aava is definitely suited for mountain biking at Whistler. The staff are excellent and the bike valet and wash station are a great touch. The hotel itself is very close to the Fitzsimmons chair, about a 2 minute pedal. The rooms are showing a bit of wear, and could benefit from a little TLC. A fresh coat of paint and some attention to the leaky bathroom fixtures would go far.
