The staff was lovely. The room had a strong men’s cologne smell, and the toilet didn’t flush properly and there were not sheets on the pull out couch. The lounge was great and breakfast was ok. No parking was really inconvenient and was not told that parking was not included in cost of room

Inconvenient if you have a car, we ended up parking on the street for free but the homeless/downtown crowd were noisy and we were worried if they were going to mess with the vehicle.

This hotel does not really have parking lot. They tell you to park in an adjacent open private lot, or at the street at your own risk, they’ve advised to go parking in a nearby hospital lot if you want a closed parking area. Overall the hotel corner looks unsafe.

For a building built in 1928 we were pleasantly surprised of the room and facilities. The staff and family that’s owns the property are very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and clean also the bed was very comfortable. They have done renovations as much as they could to the rooms and building. I’ve paid twice as much at other big chain hotels and never slept in a bed that comfortable.

Hotel probably did see better time. But, rooms are very clean, breakfast is good. On line check in was pointless because nobody look at it, and parking is not free.

All the photos of the property must have been taken after a renovation as it looks nothing like the pictures. Also all the rooms loook like they have a bath tub. I inquired as mine had a corner shower, no bath. They advised that you have to rent a tub and they have limited tub rooms. Also found a hair in my Eggs at breakfast. Don’t recommend this place. When they tried to get me a tub room, I was embarrassed as I was given a room that was already occupied and I ended us scaring a fellow guest by just walking into their room!!

The hotel itself is nice and seems to actually have some history, which is a bit uncommon here in Canada now a days. The facilities in the bathroom was working fine, but the noice when you flush is crazy and the sink is so powerful that it strints all over you. Also the TV wasn't turning on, so that was a bit of a bummer as well, but we had a good time and slept really good!

Front desk staff was very friendly and the entrance/lobby was noce but the halls, floora and rooms were dirty and worn out. So many layers of peeled paint and caulking hilding things together.
