We had 3 groups staying at the Golden Nugget. The line for check-in took an hour to get through, then it's not even a person, but a kiosk you check in at, mobile check in was not an option. One groups room wasn't ready (2 hours after check-in), and another groups reservation couldn't be found and took an hour to get resolved. The rooms are your basic Vegas Casio room, nothing special. But the plumbing was terrible. The pipes made loud noise all night and the sinks gargled anytime anyone above your room used the water or flushed a toilet. Anyone can park in guest parking for a fee, so it fills up quickly, and then guests have to pay to park somewhere else when free guest parking is supose to be included. Poor Check-in, issues, noisy, basic. Will stay somewhere else next time.

It was really dirty and the bathrooms were disgusting and when we complained they said the we have to pay for update to change the rooms. It was a terrible experience, we have never happened to us. I will never recommend this place or stay there even if it was free

My buddies and I booked at the Golden Nugget for a guys weekend because it was cheaper than some other options and we wanted to stay on Freemont. I got there before them and went to the lobby to check in. There was 1 person working the counter and they were addressing an issue with another customer. I tried to use the check in machines and they kept erroring out. But since there was only 1 employee available at the time, I waited in line with others for almost 10 minutes until a 2nd employee came out from the back room. The 2nd issue I had with the Golden Nugget was room quality. We stayed in the Carlson Towers. The overall room was pretty basic, nothing special. The bed sheets and pillows were clean, tv worked, and so did the heater. The issue was the bathroom. First, there was an amazing amount of lime/mold build up on the shower head. I couldn’t believe no one cleaned it. Secondly, my tub barely drained. After I took a 10min shower, the tub had filled up with water up to my ankles. It was pretty gross. We did the Vegas thing pretty hard, so I just kind of dealt with the bathroom situation and never said anything to the staff. Shame on me for that. But also, come on. Someone had to notice the shower head and tub were an issue when they were cleaning it!

We had a corner suite in Rush Tower on 19th floor. Clean. Very Spacious. Comfortable bed & pillows. Disappointed room was not updated with tile flooring and granite like others in the Gold Tower. Would have preferred a seperate shower from tub. UpstairsTroy bar/club was the perfect location to party and people watch from the outside balcony.

Horrible staff in parking lots and also Valet, pool under remodeling (not disclosed when booking) no access to Freemont St on New Years eve unless you buy a "ticket" pretty much you stay kidnapped inside the Hotel unless you want to walk the streets in the back...just not what we expected...as Hotel Guests we should be able to go in and out Freemont as courtesy and charge the Outsiders the actual fee
