The bathtub is out dated, and the inside of the toilet basin was dirty. The beds were really comfortable and clean, the breakfast was amazing.

Service was friendly, room was ready, property was newly renovated. Overall we had a good stay. My only issue is that the bath/shower faucet was not replaced with the renovations. Faucet was worn, hard to control water temperature and should have been replaced. Would have been five stars if the shower was working properly.

The property is freshly redone in all areas. It was rebranded as HIEx & suites after we booked. Breakfast was typical free fare but well stocked. The breakfast area was large beautiful. The room was on the small side but all fresh and updated. Very quiet with spancrete construction. Located very near the Toyota plant and many eating choices.

Ask about hockey tournament stays and if they have one while you are there ask for a different floor. We had 20 adults and children playing literally outside our door for over 2 hours. Yelling and screaming and a hockey net set up right in the hallway. Couldn’t even hear the TV to drown out the noise it was so bad. Called downstairs and all we got was a “they aren’t allowed to do that”. No one came up to ask them to go to their rooms or be quiet. Kids sent to bed around 8:30 and parent hung out right outside our door into to the rooms across from us until after 9:30pm. Checking out when asked about our stay and I told him what happened all we got was a “I will tell my manager”. No sorry or anything. Room and property was lovely but noise and lack of hotel help moving us or getting them to stop wasn’t worth the price we paid. And it wasn’t cheap and probably more than the discount rate the hockey teams got.

Noisy stay
The rooms were cleaned very well daily and used towels were replaced. A few guest services staff members were very difficult to understand. The door to our bathroom needed fixed; it squealed like a wounded animal every time it was opened and closed. Also, the second night of our stay was very noisy; other people on the floor were slamming doors and running up and down the hall. This continued past 4:00 a.m. and guest services did nothing about it. They said the hotel was full and there were several large groups staying there and it would be quieter the next night. That is unacceptable that noise like that is allowed to disrupt other guests who are also paying plenty to stay there.

The hotel gave up 3 of my 5 rooms. 1 room was fine (1 King Suite). 4 rooms were supposed to be 2 queen beds in each. These 4 rooms were given away when I booked through Expedia months ago. They said they can only give me 4 rooms with 1 King bed and a pull-out couch in each. My guests were 3 & 4 per room. I don't want my guests sleeping on pull-out couches. As I couldn't wait for theylm to fix this error, I accepted 2 rooms with the king & pull-out. I waited on them to obtain the 2 queen bed room a few hours later. Because of this error, I won't be booking blocks of rooms on Expedia, ever.
