Hotel was beautiful and extremely clean. Staff were friendly, food was really good, and nice clean beach. Check-in and check-out was efficient. If you are looking for night life, this is not the right hotel.. It's quite sleepy overall, with one show a night, and no late night entertainment. Everything closes by 11 pm.We went off the resort most nights We didn't like that the pools closed at 7 pm each night, as most resorts let you enjoy an evening swim till at least 10 or 11 pm. Overall, a nice resort and great for families

Clean, safe and great food choices. Lots of activities for kids and adults. All the staff were friendly and considerate. Easy beach walk between RIU properties. RIU Jalisco had a larger kids pool area with slides and bucket. RIU Vallarta had a smaller kids pool area but very adequate.

This is the fist all inclusive hotel I have stayed with no waiters on beach or pool. It was a surprise that you could be in the pool for 2-3 hours and no staff was available. It’s not a bad hotel but I would not choose to stay here again. The food was surprisingly unflavored the state of Nayarit enormous and delicious food and dishes so for the resort to make the food as tasteless and bland was disappointing.

Stayed at multiple Riu resorts in Mexico and this was definitely at the bottom of the list. The property is very dirty with pool lounge chairs that have multiple stains. Food is poor and all of the buffet was the best option in comparison to the restaurant. The buffet would run out of food items and you would wait over 20 minutes for them to bring out a new dish. Staff was vert rude and not friendly at all. It didnt matter where we went, it was rare to find a smiling happy worker. No drink servers anywhere to be found and we had to walk to a bar everytime we wanted a drink. We payed for cabanas on the beach and got no service their either. Shows were ok and night entertainment was probably the highlight of the resort. People at the pool with the swim up bar got completely drunk one day we were there and were totally inappropriate. Given that this is a family friendly resort and although this happened at the adult pool, its literally a few feet away from the other pools. Honestly would go somwhere else. If youre ok with some chaos and low standards and 2 star service i would say youll be fine here.

There are many reasons why I will not go back to this All Inclusive Hotel. 1. The property has 5 restaurants, but their availability is limited to dinner. Therefore, you have to have breakfast and lunch at their buffet restaurant. Although there is variety, the food lacks flavor and is dried from sitting at the buffet bar. Their steak house was recommended but the food was super salty. The Asian and Italian restaurants were better. 2. They advertise an inclusive experience but the alcohol experience that they offer you is cheap. The bartenders at the pool bar were rude, when I asked about more “expensive” alcohol. I asked for a shot of Don Julio and was answered with, “That is their bottle” when it wasn’t but he was just being tipped by the other guest. 3. I did not like their one towel per day policy since after being at the beach, I wanted a different towel to use after the pool. So I would not get sand all over me again. 4. The hotel offers limited nightlife entertainment for an All Inclusive Hotel. They have a huge courtyard where events, music or DJs could take place but instead, the place is empty and their events last 30 minutes. My husband and I were looking for a better nightlife experience during our weekend stay. 5. The bed in the room was very uncomfortable, clean but could not sleep. 6. The house cleaning staff was friendly, but cannot say the same about the staff at the lobby or the bartenders. Overall our experience felt like we were staying at a W
