The staff was so rude, The area was too big and didn't have good entertainment. No coffee shop for such a big resort. Too many animals eating our drinks and food.

Staff at the restaurants were great to deal with. The reception for the family club was not the greatest. I did get food poisoning at Mama Mias and the staff gaslit me saying theres no way.

The property was overall beautiful. It was well maintained. The rooms were large and well appointed with many amenities. Unfortunately, the were a bit dark and dated in parts but for an older hotel that is to be expected. The service was inconsistent and lack for the most part. You got some people who did an excellent job but for the most part patrons were ignored and their issues were not handled with any decency. While there we were traveling with two small children (2 and 7) and there was nothing for them to do on a rainy day because the kids club is exclusively for those who book in the family section yet so the children who aren't in that section have no special activities they can participate in without paying an extra charge. When I left my room (for what I thought was the last time), at 8:35am in the morning to go to the front desk to check out, I realized I was missing my jacket and sneakers (which were left on my bed in the hurry to get out) so I hurried back to get them only to find the things left in the room picked over and my valuable sneakers and jacket missing. I went to the front desk to report it but all I recieved was "you left them in the room and they were removed to go to the lost and found...you left them" all while I have the room keys in my hand because I have not checked out yet. So I had to return to Canada without them with no attempt to help me from the front desk. I would not recommend going to this place at all now.

This was the worst experience ever, don’t stay here!! My family and I stayed it here and we never had anyone come to clean our room. People were leaving trash outside the rooms since no one will come to clean. I have a two year old child and it was so frustrating to struggle to get food. The staff members went on strike and nothing was open everything was closed. We payed extra for the amenities and we had to go to another hotel to pay day pass to be able to eat and enjoy the beach. The hotel is nice but it’s very dirty.

We spent a week here. The staff were kind and helpful. There were lots of activities. The nightly shows were amazing. The fire and drum show was our favorite. The food was okay. Just know you will be asked to do sign up to talk about a timeshare opportunity right after you check in.

This was our 4th tip to this resort, and we love it. The staff are amazing and have always had a wonderful time. The resort is starting to show some wear, but they will be remodeling soon. Love this place.

I went there for the first time in 2019, and the experience was so good that I went back in 2024, and they exceeded my expectations again. I made some new friends, and the staff was amazing. The food was great, and there was plenty of entertainment. My room was awesome, and I felt like I never wanted to leave. It was the best vacation I've had in a long time!

This resort and the staff definitely deserve a five start rating and the only reason I did not give that to them was they coati animals on the property spoil it. You can not sit to eat and drink in peace anywhere outdoors without them coming and bothering you taking your food and drink. Also at the pool Or beach they come walk across your towel, go in your bag, we had a baby and they we always going into the bottom compartment on the stroll and they was no food. Too annoying for me when I’m trying to relax and enjoy myself on vacation. Sadly for that reason I will not come Back again

Not many things to do on property. Areas not monitored so anyone was allowed in restricted areas. Limited food options. Buffet was not the best food. Room door broke half way through the trip, had to move rooms. 2nd room was nasty and secluded.

Was looking for a relaxing vacation for my husband and I and it waa the perfect place.The walk out room to the pool was excellent for that relaxing time.And if we wanted a lil bit if entertainment will go to one of the other pools.The only thing I can say wasn't as great was the good at the buffet. They needed more variety I don't k of if it was because of slow season. But everything el was great

For the cost of this property, there's very little that my husband and I had to complain about-- but I wanted to give a very indepth review for anyone who's planning to stay. 1. Facilities- this is an older property & there is maintenance that could be done. For example, big cracks and dark spots on the ceiling in the room areas that are clearly from water damage. The buffets have worn tiles, crumbling areas around the bottom of the stations, and overall everything is just 'older'. That being said, we didn't have any concerns about structural integrity and for the most part everything was clean and maintained. 2. Staff- The staff were very nice and helpful. Overall if this is your first time in Mexico, just get used to the fact that everyone you meet is trying to sell you something. You don't have to buy into it, we certainly didn't. This isn't unique to the Grand Princess/Grand Sunset. 3, Food/Drinks- We are admittedly 'foodies' and really found everything to be just 'ok'. Hot food wasn't as hot as I'd like and the cold food were usually lukewarm. Sometimes there were things (like their tortilla chips, fr example) that were stale. However, there was always something good and the speciality dining experiences were all very good. We enjoyed the Miso Thai, La Hacienda, La Vaqueria, Le Fleur, and Mamma Mia. Our favorite was Le Fleur and Miso Thai. These are dinner only places and were included in the package. Don't drink the water and I'd stay away from their frozen drinks.

Loved the Platinum area. Fast serving bartenders and very helpful staff. Buffet there was a bit small but honestly very convenient. We loved the tacos stand, chefs are good at what they do!
