We stayed at Moon Palace The Grand this December and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very modern and impressively large, with golf carts often needed to get around. During check-in, we requested a room near the water park, which was very convenient. It was within walking distance to the water park, the Playroom, and not far from the main lobby. The indoor activities were excellent for families. Our child loved the trampoline park, and there were plenty of games for older kids. Rainy days were no problem, as there was lots to do indoors. Dining met our expectations. Dinners require reservations, and you can book three days in advance. While we had high hopes for the Circus restaurant, the experience fell short, partly due to being seated in a corner. Other restaurants were easier to book and provided great meals. Dining at the sister hotels was also a nice perk. The beach was average, with strong waves making it unsuitable for swimming. For better sea views, the Hotel Zone might be a better option. One downside was the timeshare sales. Despite declining the offer during check-in, we received a call at 8 AM the next day, which was annoying. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The convenience, activities, and dining make it an excellent choice for families with kids.

It’s a great property. We enjoyed our stay at moon palace grand. Good, ambience, access to beach, activities for kids was all excellent. Only thing that bothered us was lack of reservations for it being all inclusive. You have to be on top to find a reservation at some places. Cusco was lacking service big time. Despite reservations at 9:30 pm we left without food as our food wasn’t served till 10:40 pm. Not sure how busy kitchen was but till 10:40 no food was very disappointing. Last I want to say Agra restaurant at Sunrise is just a fake hype. They have empty restaurant tables but still would not let any reservation open. During our stay I continued to try to get reservations but couldn’t get any. We walked in hoping to wait but still try the hype food. To my surprise the restaurant was almost empty and they didn’t give us a seat. And I am talking about lunch time not even dinner. Very disappointing. Overall it’s a good place to have a good vacation.

Expedia This resort even not deserve one star .Its was the worst resort in Cancun , the resort is huge but they have the worst service and they can’t handle that many people, just at the beginning when we got our room , for 3 of us give us the room with 1 bed . at least We had spend 4hours in a day waited for food or drink ( not easy with hungry little kids) it was night mare , we was waiting in hours waiting to go to the restaurant and finally when we went there, we was waiting for another hour to get our food , when we said where is our Order, they just said they didn’t place our order yet.The variety of food in buffet was very low ,even you can’t find something simple like boiling egg , hush brown or banana , The restrooms in lobby , pools or beach was disgusting when you pass by restroom you can smell of urine .

For the amount of money we spent at this resort I had higher expectations. The rooms were dirty and run down, the sheets and pillow cases had rips and holes, the conditioner pump didn’t work and you couldn’t get anyone to fix it. It felt overall like a complete rip off. The front desk manager was very rude when we were trying to get our room closer to our family. They wouldn’t help at all.

Elite membership drive is a waste of time. You can not use the credit points as the tours and activities have limited seats for credit points. All my friends ended up not using the points. Too hard to get reservations in Restaurants. Coffee machine in the room was broken.

We had a great time with two young kids. Lots of outdoor and indoor options for the children to enjoy, as well as numerous more adult leaning options for when parents want to grab a bite together. The waterpark, kids center, wired lounge, bounce inflatable jungle (huge) and mini putt were all huge hits. The older kids on the resort seemed to enjoy the large slides and surfing experience. All in all very hard to beat experience in Mexico, definitely considering coming back. Only drawbacks were the checkout process and the extremely high prices for spa treatment (e.g. $345 USD for an 80 minute massage!)
