Beautiful view from our room. Quiet and comfortable. If parking is full out front, it can be frustrating to find their further parking lots and walk. Not a long walk, but at the end of a full day I can be furstrating.

Located close to major attractions. Property is old and needs repairs. Our door was tricky to close and cleaning staff did not close it securely on 2 occasions. This left us feeling our belongings were not safe. We emailed the manager with our concerns and the head of cleaning was sent to apologize. The manager did not even acknowledge our email. One of the amenities is a pool but it was down a grungy stairway and the changing areas were in poor condition and not very clean. Overall, the property had the feeling that no one cared too much. The breakfast was an added charge of $14, and for the price did not offer a great selection. Front staff were all great.

We live on the third floor. The machine outside the window is a little noisy. The location is very good. Cross the bridge is the art gallery, which is very convenient.

Called to fix issue with TV, they sent someone up to tell me the guy is finished for the night and will be back tomorrow. You could have said that on the phone. Air conditioning system made all sorts of racket throughout the night couldn’t turn it off. Hair dryer stopped working half way through. Waited 15 minutes turned back on then off again.

We were not impressed with this hotel at all. We spent 6 nights there, and the room was not cleaned until the 5th day. And that was only because we complained 3 days in a row. When they finally did clean it, they provided fresh towels but didn't take the dirty ones away. Breakfast was not included in the price, and the buffet that they did have was $17/person with very little food choice. I will say that the front desk staff was friendly, and they did refund me the amount of one night's stay for the inconvenience of not having the room cleaned, but I still can't recommend staying there. Also, the only restaurants that we could find in the area for breakfast, besides the hotel, was McDs and Tim Hortons. All others didn't open until 10 or later.

Found a lot of women hair in my bathroom when I returned from walking in downtown Ottawa. I don’t know if the hair was inside the towels or some member of the staff came to my room. I was traveling alone and didn’t request room service for cleaning.

We had a lovely stay. The staff was very courteous. There was a bit of noise from other occupants the second night of our stay, but it settled by about 11:30 at night. We would happily stay there in the future.

Pros: 2 blocks away from the Canadian Museum of History which is incredible, it's right on the river (there's a really nice park you can go for walks and whatever across the street), it's walkable to a few restaurants and transportation, and the staff was super friendly and helpful! Bonus: if you get a room on the right side, you have a fantastic view of the city and the river! Cons: talking about my room specifically, the tub's drain was not well (water was taking forever to get through it during shower, like almost clogged), the bathroom could definitely use some more attention as there was a bit of hair when we first got there (it looked like they only cleaned the mirror and the toilet, missing the floor and the tub), too many constructions in the area which can cause some issues if you like to wake up late.

When I first got to my floor the entire floor smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. When I entered my room the smell was very strong. The receptionist was kind enough to change my room (I changed rooms 2 additional times), but the new room I eventually stayed in also had the strong smell. I didn't want to continue to bother the receptionist and keep needing to go to the lobby to get new keys, so I stayed in that room. Unfortunately, my stay wasn't as pleasant or restful as I hoped for. The smell was so strong that I didn't sleep much, and today feeling very nauseas. I understand it's out of their control if people decide to break your rules and smoke in their rooms. However, it appears nothing was done about it. This disrupted my stay significantly, and undoubtedly the stay of other guests on that floor.
