On arrival the debit machine wasn’t working . We tried 4 different cards & nothing worked . It was a day or two later that we finally had someone get that sorted for us .We didn’t have water at all for 2 days , then no hot water . Finally on day 4 we were able to have a hot shower but only late in the afternoon. There wasn’t a coffee maker , the microwave didn’t work, the tv remote was dead , the wifi was horrible . I asked the front desk if we could get a coffee maker as some rooms had them. She said “ I don’t know “ The room was extremely dirty . , especially the bathroom. The bathroom sink didn’t have running water the entire time . It was disgusting ! It was the worst place I’ve ever stayed . I hope they will renovate the rooms and provide their guests with better service in the future .
Pool was cold,no drinking water, dirty curtains, old towels, no coffee pot in the kitchen and very few kitchen necessities. We would not go back to this hotel
This was a perfect location in Bucerias to enjoy the walkable city. It was unfortunate that our room was in disrepair, we should have said something. As we did not know the condition of the other rooms until our last day, and found out they were beautiful. Note: always speak to the front desk if you have any issues.
We went for 3 days to Bucerias to have a little getaway from Puerto Vallarta and chose Hotel Palmeras because of its location on Lazaro Cardenas which doesnt have a lot of through traffic but offers a good selection of decently priced restaurants while only being a couple blocks from the beach.
We stayed in Room 2 which has been newly remodeled and enjoyed nice hot showers and good AC. Being a road facing room we had the occasional vehicle noise but sleeps were decent on a firm king size mattress and nice pillows.
Last but not least, the reception staff was wonderful and welcoming, speaking decent english but with Mexican hospitality. Thank you for a nice stay!
This is the worst place we’ve ever stayed. STAY AWAY THIS PLACE IS A DIVE. The room was dirty, sinks corroded, poor lighting, grungy sheets and towels. Dirty bedspread. Toilet seat broken. Stove didn’t work. No water the last night. Flimsy lock.
We told the manager the second day we were leaving and she would not help us to get a refund. The third night ( we stayed 4 nights) there was loud noise late at night and the hotel did nothing. NEVER BOOK with HOTELS.COM. They didn’t give us a refund. We emailed them immediately and they didn’t respond. They didn’t help us. They use hotels which are misrepresented by inaccurate photos.
Nice, basic hotel. Cozy feel and modern lobby. Close to el centro, and Chedraui is well within walking distance.On-site cafe is good and staff are very friendly. Would prefer if no bracelet was needed since it's not all inclusive - hard to find a hotel in tourist area where you can have friends over to hang out for an evening. Visited in the slow season and there were no lights on in the back of the property, so had to use my phone flashlight to come and go from my room to the lobby area at night. Overall would stay again.
I liked that hotel was in center of town close to restaurants, shopping & easy walk to market. Pool was clean & well kept. So many beautiful palms. I liked that hotel was next door to lovely outdoor cafe w/ great staff.
For the price of the rooms, I feel they could have been accommodated with comfortable beds. The beds felt like the box spring only. Simple memory foam mattress topper would help. No water available in the rooms made it uncomfortable to go out in the courtyard in your Jammies to fill up your water. Overall the renovations done to the from the building was nice to see, but landscaping has been abandoned for awhile dead palm leaves falling consistently. Dead plants amd leaves.
Lobby and pool area very nice upgraded and clean. Past that- the rooms are quite outdated, need upgrades (even a coat of paint), need more attention to cleaning. Our bathroom door and walls were grungy. Outside stair cases were not swept or washed. Our private balcony area dirty to the point of making muddy floors when you stepped inside your room. Note to smokers - there is a waiver you must sign that you will not smoke anywhere on the property.
