Great stay but rough around the edges
Hotel room was very clean, hotel staff were great and the location was decent (not ideal but still within walking distance of 3 subway stations). It served our purposes perfectly and was great value for staying in New York. However, there were some issues. I had a problem before my stay and getting responses over phone, hotels.com messages and emails were impossible until the day before. Also, there seemed to be some loose tiles in the hotel room and bathroom. Finally, the elevators we're making very worrying noises. I hope these get fixed because the stay was great otherwise.

I have stayed at this hotel before and I really enjoyed it. But this time around when we got into our room the room was dusty. The sheets were not changed they were dirty and there was even hair from someone else. When we call to ask if we could switch room the manager was rude like he didn’t want to deal with it. One thing I want is clean sheets it was completely unacceptable.

The staff and service was excellent. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. The room left some things to be desired. The pillows were oddly small, leading to an uncomfortable night of sleep. There was very limited decor in the room and felt rather soulless and industrial. The room was very well sound-proofed however, which was needed since the other hotels/bars in the area seemed to be very loud. The elevator is super loud and bumpy, feels like it hasn't been maintained in years (although I'm sure it has been!). All of this said, this was totally acceptable and we would stay here again. It was probably the best option at the price point and the staff were extremely helpful!
