Was 2nd time at OMR, we brought 4 others this time... everything was amazing, especially the staff, Kenddell is the best, Chiqui, Viri, Moises, Dali, the entire Blue team, also Martin from El Charro, bartenders Jorge, Eber, Miguel, literally everyone was so nice and service was top notch. We will return!

Pro: The resort was beautiful. The staff were amazing. The property was safe. They provided transportation and shows daily . Con: They have different priorities and accommodation depending on your color of brackets. Travelocity customers were supposed to have the black and gold, but was giving the green . You could not dining at certain restaurants or drink high quality alcohol. Spa treatments not included.

I was a bit sceptical at first when it came about service and food, but I really loved this place. Food was 9/10. Service on the other hand was great everyone was great and friendly. Tipping always helps get the best service but even when they didn’t know us yet as tippers they still did such a great job. I’m definitely going back.

Property did not have air conditioning in many of the common areas or restaurants. Additionally 4 of the 6 of us got food poisoning all on the same night. Food was good but not great and the drinks were extremely inconsistent. No measuring was used and some drinks were fine and some were terrible

Just got back from Ocean Maya Royale. Staff, SUPERB! Place, SUPERB! Restaurants, SUPERB! Drinks, SUPERB! Beach, SUPERB! Amenities and Daily Activities, SUPERB! Only issue with this place, VERY HARD TO LEAVE. The complaints that people have regarding the beach when it comes to “seaweed”, do not be bother by it. We witness that people from other resorts actually goes to the beach side of OMR to swim as it is clean and OMR maintains it DAILY! I also read a lot of reviews about people getting sick “food poisoning” after their trip and blames the food and water at the resort. Maybe they have food sensitivity, but no one complained about it during our stay. To all the staff at OMR, you guys are amazing. You made our stay memorable. Booking another trip to OMR soon!

We booked this last minute because of price and it looked nice. It is definitely more walkable than pictures lead it on to be. Not much of a night life and the pool seemed to need more chemicals than it was given, but I would stay here again for the same price.
