I would give this resort more than 5 stars! We were a little worried about traveling to Mexico during the pandemic. I’m so glad that we did! The resort is impeccably clean! The staff and management make it their top priority to keep their guests safe. I want to recognize our butler, Alberto. He went over and beyond to make sure we were happy! Also, a shout out to Manuel who works at the beach! My goodness! He’s such a hard worker making sure everyone had drinks and food. We travel to the Riviera Maya about 3 to 4 times a year and love exploring different resorts each time. This is definitely on the top of our favorite list!

We liked the food it tasted really good to be an all inclusive hotel. The service should improve at the pool and restaurants they weren’t good hosts and weren’t amused or receiving people

The resort is very nice. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. In general, it met our expectations. The staff/service was some of the best we've had at a resort. They took great care of us and gave special attention to our 5 year old son. The staff was by far the best part of this experience. Everyone from reception/housekeeping/bartenders/restaurant/concierge were very good. We appreciated that there weren't people constantly walking around trying to pressure us into some sort of timeshare/spa treatment/activity/presentation/etc. Our suite and all of the facilities were well maintained. The variety of pools suited our needs. Always able to find a shady spot to set up shop. One comment: they have a no reserving chairs policy - which I truly appreciate - but it was taken overboard. One day all three of us were swimming and we came back to find our towels and bag of personal belongings had been thrown in a big pile off to the side as the "no reserving chairs lady" came by removing the "reserved chairs". And we heard/saw this happen to others as well. The beach isn't much to speak of, but hard to hold that against the resort. They try to keep it nice, but the seaweed was BAD. If you want to spend much time at the beach, be prepared for seaweed and the stench that comes with it. Again, I don't hold this against the resort. The food was ok. Nothing great, nothing horrible. As I said, overall, we were pleased with the resort. Don't know if we'll go back though.

We really liked the layout. The property is kept very clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We didn’t like that we were penalized for bringing children in that at time there family side lacked entertainment at night while the adult side got a DJ or a band. We also didn’t like that the pools closed so early. ESP since you could NOT swim in the ocean. We love the activities crew. They were a lot of fun but spread thin across the hotel. They need more staff for that.

Nice property, small but cozy. Water park is a nice addition that was build not too long ago.The food was better in 2017. Also we had issues of getting reservations. I had to ask every day my butler if anything is available. Paying for family concierge service should be easier for making reservations for restaurants but it is not. Also they don’t give anymore hats or T-shirt’s for kids if you are staying at family concierge.I liked programs for kids my 7 year old loved it. Olio waiter Demetrio was very nice to our family. He offered us for extra 45 dollars huge seafood plate it was worth it and delicious. Global warming is affecting the ocean in Playa del Carmen so cant swim in the ocean. Can’t really blame the hotel. Overall good experience. will come back when food and property will be a little renovated and food improved like before. I felt like they are downgrading.Good luck Paradisus Family!
