I can’t say enough about my incredible stay at Ocean Maya Royale! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The resort itself is stunning—a beautiful beach, pristine gardens, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had a great view of the garden. One of the standout parts of my trip was the service. The experience team truly went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable! A big thank you to Carlos, Viridiana, Kenddell, and Dali for all their incredible attention to detail and personalized care. They were friendly, approachable, and always there to make our stay as fun as possible. I also loved how they made sure to keep the atmosphere relaxed but fun, with live music and entertainment each night. Great resort. The only issue we had was that the AC was way too cold but that could have been user error. We got the Privilege package and the perks with that were worth the extra money. Our butler, David was awesome! He took care of all our needs.

Overall, a good resort. Loved the bali beds in the privilege area. The food and drinks were only ok. Wasn't wowed by it and wouldn't choose to come back. Decent price though for the experience provided. Amazing staff, very accommodating. Beach was very clean. Grounds of resort were well maintained.

The property was nice and lots of things to do. Food was very good for a resort. Pools were decent , but a little on the cold side. Didnt really care for the privilege club stuff, and the different tiers of membership etc.

Hubby and I had an amazing honeymoon at this resort. Shoutout to all the amazing staff that went above and beyond to make our time there so friendly and enjoyable - Manuel the bartender, experience team members Viri, Carlos, and especially Kenddell, whose energy and kindness did not go unnoticed. He is one of a kind. So many fun activities at the resort - crafts, games, aquafit, kayak tours…We were never bored. Restaurants and serving staff were great and there was decent variety. Plus- we didn’t get sick from the food at all here! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

It's only 20mins to PDC but it's $60 roundtrip from the hotel. The taxi's have a horrible monopoly. The hotel itself- it's time for a reno. The grounds have no drainage so during a heavy rain, water on the walking paths can be ankle deep or higher. This hotel seems to be going through an identity crisis. It's like it wants to be "higher end" but it lacks the staff and amenities to achieve that. The check-in process was/is unnecessarily long and ill-staffed for the numbers they deal with. If you're not VIP (Prestige Club), good luck getting the front staff's attention. In most AI's, the buffet is awful and the a la cartes are great. At this hotel, it's the opposite- the buffet is great- something for everyone, fresh and tasty! The a la cartes were awful. There were 2 staff that stood out- Kenddell and Viridiana- they save this place! I hope they get to read these and know what a difference they make to people's vacations.

Overall the stay was good. The food can definitely be better. They need a good pastry chef…. we did not have a single good dessert during our stay. Kendall was an amazing entertainer for the poolside audience. I also think the beach could be better. It doesn’t have direct access it’s blocked off by a fence and it was very dirty. Would we come back? no, but it was a nice vacation overall.
