This was a vacation with my bff. Overall it was a nice experience with a few drawbacks. Resort is very family oriented and majority of the guests were with small children. Bar closed at 11pm after which the resort pretty much was dead with nothing to do. The food was just OK. There was no variety day to day, so it got boring very fast. The entertainment team was very good, especially Santos who pretty much made our vacation a success.

I booked 2 rooms and the staff gave me rooms on opposite hotel ends. When I booked the hotel, I called right after to confirm my booking and to ensure I get both of my rooms together. When I arrived to the hotel, I went to check-in and was denied to have both rooms next to each-other. They didn't even bother to help me or accommodate my request! To top it off check in was at 3:00pm and rooms were still not ready!! Not only that I went second week on october 2024 (slow season) hotel was empty but “no rooms were avaialble next to eachother” I will never book with Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe!!!

Pros: Friendly bilingual staff. Didn’t meet a single person who didn’t speak English. Upgraded our room during check-in without a problem. They told us our room would be ready in about 2 hours and it was ready in about 45 minutes! Someone always helped us with our luggage during check-in and check-out. Plenty of pool/beach chairs. The service was great! Always had someone asking if we needed anything no matter where we were. Cons: The food was below average. We felt like they were trying too hard to make everything “gourmet”. Portion sizes were incredibly small for the restaurants. The buffet was small and had the same thing every day. If you didn’t get to the buffet right at opening, the food was cold and old. Room service takes about 2 hours to receive and it was always cold with no microwave in the room to even heat it up. The sign to place on the door for no housekeeping was irrelevant. We didn’t need them every single day and yet they would still come and BARGE into the room 3-4 times a day even with the sign on the door. Although the staff was friendly, sometimes they were just a bit too much. If you told someone no, they would keep asking you until you ended up saying yes to something (games, housekeeping, drinks, etc.) The drinks always tasted amazing, but they tasted extremely watered down. For someone who barely drinks, I never felt like there was alcohol in them. Overall a great experience, just feel like a few things could be addressed.

Almost everything was average. The girl that received us was very nice and very helpful, but another girl that checked us out was very rude and ignored when I let her know that room service had took our snacks that we had bought outside of the resort , and those snacks (big bags of chips) were in a personal bag, which they should never look inside personal bags. Make sure you guys put valuables in the safe as well as your money, just in case.

We like this property for its pool, white sand beach, cleanliness, service and wide variety of food. The hotel rooms are also conveniently located to its pools and restaurants. Our 4 year old son enjoyed its water park and the pool even more. The pools are very wide and long; 5 feet deep. We visited late-September which is their off-season and one of their restaurants, a steakhouse, was closed. In return, it was Brazilian bbq every night at their main dining hall "Vela". We didn't care for the steaks. The make for own poke bowls was much better!
