We had an amazing time at Ocean Maya Royale! The resort is beautiful, the food was great, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing getaway. A special shoutout to Kenddell, who brought so much energy and fun to our stay. The experience team at this resort were AMAZING. Kenddell, Carlos, Oswyn, and Victor were so much fun to get to know and was always making sure that our group was well taken care of. The team is always full of energy. There is always something fun to do here. Could not recommend more!!

Loved: 1. The beach & the hammocks! What a lovely place to chill and forget about everything else! 2. The yoga class was phenomenal! Richie was a fantastic instructor! 3. The fire show on Saturday evening was such a visual treat! 4. Food & services in Blue Moon, Mike's Coffee Shop, & El Charro were next level! SO GOOD, 10/10. 5. Service throughout the resort overall was top-notch everywhere we went: beach towel station, ice cream stand, the bar by the activity pool, lagoon tour, room service housekeeping... kudos to the staff! Did not like: 1. Hot water supply was disrupted in two separate evenings. We both love taking hot showers in the evening before bed so the lack of hot water was not the best experience. Called the front desk but was told we had to wait for the boiler to heat up. Likely a maintenance issue. 2. Food in LA Dolce Vita (the Italian restaurant) was mediocre. We had to wait for 30 minutes for our table but the overall experience was underwhelming... 3. On our second last day at the resort it rained. I wouldn't say it was super heavy, but the most walking paths in the resort were flooded and we had to walk on the grass hills. It took 2 days for the water to subside - an indication of aged stormwater infrastructure. Overall: Our very first adult-only all-inclusive, but exceeded our expectations!

Was nice and relaxing, adult only location. Very clean. Staff very friendly. Only down side was food quality and options was somewhat lacling. Breakfast buffet was very good every day, but kunch and dinner options could have been better. Would return if able to get a good deal.

I did not like that there is no beach, or very small part exist. See water was brown, murky not Caribbean blue. For beach lovers I wouldn’t recommend this resort. Also, everything was average, food, service, restaurants,… I don’t think we will go back

We’ve given a different room than what we reserved. The power was going out 4 nights out of 5 and we were sweating hard. There is not enough room around pool and beach and all the seats will be occupied by 8am Restaurants are very bad and the food is not good. The mexican restaurant by the pool was the only great one and the regular buffet by the main facility was the ok one to save the day! Only good thing was the staff specially the ones who were planning and doing the activities and entertainments. I don’t think we go back here.

The staff was very nice, property is a little older but still very beautiful. Gorgeous beach area. The food just wasn't that great. The Italian restaurant was the worst and after staying for 7 days you were very tired of eating the something over and over.

It was amazing vacation! The hotel left us with only positive impressions! The staff is amazing — always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything you need. There are plenty of interesting activities at the hotel, from yoga to workshops, so there's always something new and exciting to try. And the food at the restaurant — absolutely delicious! Every dish is a work of art, and the taste is top-notch. But the best part is the connection with nature. Staying here, you truly feel a part of the surrounding world, and that feeling stays with you long after. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, nature-inspired relaxation, and outstanding service!

DO NOT DO IT! No hot water for 2 days, moved to another room and no water pressure, major electrical issues in the second room. Couldn’t even shut the lights off to go to bed! Barely any options for beer, food portions in the the Hibachi restaurant were laughable, which was already booked first thing every morning. Carts and side by sides from staff go by all hours of the night/morning. Good luck sleeping in if you want! People got sick (including me) due to the apparent recycling/reuse of plastic cups? We ended up leaving two days early. What a WASTE of vacation time and money! It was SO FRUSTRATING, been home 3 days and it is still infuriating. What a joke, this place is trash, don’t be an idiot like me, don’t do it!

The property had a bad smell all over - likely has drainage issues. The beach is small, brownish and full of seaweed. The pool area is overcrowded- if you don’t wake up at 6am to reserve your beach chair by leaving your stuff you won’t get any place. The rooms are very basic - no bathtub, mirror only in the bathroom, small and crumped closet with sliding doors that don’t open all the way and no dresser. Food is mediocre. Staff seem overwhelmed and overworked - they try their best though. Overall does not deserve the reviews or stars !
