Romantic authentic hotel
The hotel is located directly by the beach. The style is cosy, comfortable and Tulum- authentic. Direct and private access to the beach, sunshades and beach chairs provided. Excellent breakfast and food in general, fair prices. The place would benefit from a deep cleaning, except the restaurant which was always impeccable. I would recommend this place for those who seek a romantic location by the beach, far from the modern fancy style that so many of the new hotels offer- and which is reflected in their pricing.

I had the most amazing stay at this beautiful bed and bath by the ocean! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views and serene atmosphere. The room was immaculate, with tasteful décor that blended perfectly with the coastal surroundings. I slept like a dream, lulled by the sound of the waves crashing nearby. The bathroom was a true oasis, with luxurious amenities that made me feel pampered. The location couldn’t have been better—just steps away from the beach, making it easy to enjoy long walks along the shore or watch the sunset from the comfort of my room. This place truly offers the perfect escape, and I can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!

A little slice of heaven on the beach! Beautiful spot of a quiet beach where turtles come to nest every year! Very well run, super clean and right on a beautiful beach! We loved our stay here and we'll be back! Easy to get to by car and a couple places nearby to walk to for dinner. Little shops on the street. What Tulum used to be before the mega resorts took over!

Great posada!
What a wonderful and quaint hotel! The private beach was fabulous and you never have to wake up early to get a spot under a palapa since there are only 9 rooms! We saw a turtle lay its eggs on the beach as well. It was a very special place! The hotel feels like Tulum back in the days before the mega resorts and the free breakfast was delicious.

The staff was lovely and the food was great. Breakfast was delicious and I love that it was included. The place was quaint. Very laid back. Parking was easy. The location was a short drive from everything we wanted to do and there were great dining options within walking distance.

Piedra Escondida is a delightful, relaxed, cute hotel nestled on a picturesque cove in Tulum. My second floor room was very comfortable with a lovely balcony perfect for staring out at the sea and listening to the sounds of the waves and birds. All the staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. The meals at the hotel's restaurant, Molcajete, were fabulous, and I enjoyed a wonderful grilled octopus and a tangy, fresh ceviche with a basket of tortilla chips on the beach one day. The breakfasts were all amazing too. The outdoor dining patio is gorgeous. Highly recommended.

Martin is a cool host and easy going. He made the stay very nice. My only compliment is there is no pool and there isn’t clean beach you have to drive a mile or so down the road and pay for a beach club.
