Amazing vacation. It was great experience. If you want great food and calm relaxing atmosphere it is a place for you. Amazing staff. A lot different animals on the property. Definitely we will come back.

We loved everything about this resort. We were surprised upon arrival to receive a room upgrade to an oceanfront casita! It was beautiful and we could walk right off of our patio onto the beach. The room was luxurious. We loved the rooftop infinity pool. Our butler, Israel, was very helpful arranging spa appointments and other on-site activities. Pool bartenders, Damian and Gustavo, kept the drinks flowing poolside. We really enjoyed our tequila tasting experience with David. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. The food at the resort was good - like with all restaurants, there were things we liked more and things we liked less, but good overall. We really loved the ceviche that could be ordered poolside. If we could change one thing about the Blue Diamond, we would add a feature to be able to heat the outdoor plunge pool. The water was ok during the day, but too cold for us in the evening. Something to note, the distance is long from the lobby to the beach. There are golf carts and bikes available for transport, but maybe keep in mind when choosing your room.

Great staff, property has no maintenance and upkeep. CONS: Lightbulbs don’t work, multiple request for replacements Mold in shower Butler is no show, does absolutely nothing Daily request for water & drink refills in mini-fridge Daily request for ice Request for coffee refill when it was used Bicycles have flats & no brakes Bathtub/“Cool dip pool” in bathroom room doesn’t work, hot water knob was broken off and cold water was turned off. Bathroom lighting is extremely dim Toilet constantly runs & surrounding wood flooring is rotting Skylight over sink in bathroom has old animal feces on interior wall. Car costs-1000 meters nextdoor to Mayakoba for golf was $65 US dollars. Furniture is uncomfortable, dirty, and old, camouflaged with covers PROS: Location is pretty Food is good Staff is always cleaning Servers are attentive

This is a great location and hotel. If you’re looking for relaxation, some solitude, great food, quietness, and a pet friendly hotel, this is it. I highly recommend this place and hope to return soon with my pup.

Staff was great and very accommodating and the property is beautiful, however is in very poor condition as lack of funding is apparent. Food is plain bad and should focus on Mexican dishes which were really good. Drinks feel watered down. We spend one night and left to a different hotel.

The images of the property totally unaccurate would not call it misleading but intentionally false information. Property is totally outdated and in deplorable conditions. will never get back to this place before total renovation and or new management!!!

During the midnight, the bed sheets got soaked, the bathroom was flooded, and there were several leaks so I couldn't sleep. The hotel's response after that was the worst I've ever stayed at, and the manager only came to apologize after we checked out. They said they would email me, but there was no outer care or anything. Please note that the actual hotel's website photo is completely different from the current state. I think the building is old and needs to be restored.

If you're looking for PEACE & QUIET...THIS is the spot. Our lives are extremely busy and this was just what we needed to slow down and truly relax. The scenery at the Aquamarine resturant is breathtaking. We went off season, so there was no crowd or reservations neccessary for dinner. 10/10 would recommend. I didnt want to leave.

Compared to our last trip ten years ago, the beach has completely deteriorated. The dock gazebo was destroyed/gone. Maintenance needed on the decking and railings near pool. We rarely saw staff cleaning the pool area so we picked up after ourselves. Other than the beach combing workers who worked extremely hard to remove the seaweed everyday, the resort staff members worked very slowly. The rooms were exactly the same, well kept. The food was AMAZING as we expected.

Pros: Food is amazing!! Property feels safe, tranquil and very relaxing. Cenote room is private and very unique. Grounds are fun to walk and well taken care of. The spa was nice even if you don’t pay for a treatment. Cons: Room could’ve been cleaner. No dinning options with A/C. Facilities are showing age. Beach not good; rocks hiding underwater. Gift shop wants $37 dollars for a normal sized sunscreen. I went across the street and got two for $34.

Not sure how this was a 5-start hotel. It's dated, in desperate need of renovations and modernization - and from the facilitates to the staff outfits, most things were dirty and had holes in them. Not clear how this was Luxury, nor a 5-star but would not stay there again.

The servers/ beach workers were absolutely amazing so attentive and the food was absolutely wonderful not a single complaint . I loved how safe we felt and how calm it was. This resort was not a big party place which is exactly want we wanted. Just a very calm and relaxed time. I look forward to when we can book another trip back as it was a great five days for us all round . Loved the wildlife. The only couple cons for us was the sliding doors to go out to our patio of our room was behind a pillar, which made it a tad difficult to get out of with coffees in hand. And the bed was a tad hard but it was still a decent sleep. The spa was a tad too pricy for us but it looked so nice but was out of our budget.

Second visit at the Blue Diamond…the property is outstanding !! I cannot say enough about the staff; so friendly and welcoming. The food is a show stopper, every meal, every entree is carefully prepared and plated perfectly!!! I can’t wait for visit #3!!!

Beautiful, serene setting, with great rooms and service. Adults only. Bring some cash to tip, as tips are absolutely earned. The beach was sea-weedy, but the water, in general, was clean. You really can’t go wrong with the Blue Diamond, for those who need to relax, unwind, and not party.
